The mission of CPTA is to promote transparency and accountability in the management of Nigeria’s public resources. The organization aims to empower citizens, strengthen institutional capacity, and foster partnerships that help to eradicate corruption and establish a culture of honesty and good governance.
The CPTA envisions a Nigeria in which public resources are administered honestly and accountable, resulting in long-term growth and a higher quality of life for all citizens. The organization envisions a society in which ethical principles underpin all elements of governance and public service, fostering trust, peace, and prosperity.
Peace: Promoting non-violence and dialogue as tools for conflict resolution.
Transparency: Ensuring that our operations and decision-making processes are open and accessible to the public.
Accountability: Holding ourselves and others responsible for our actions and the management of resources.
Integrity: Upholding ethical standards in all our dealings.
The Centre for Peace, Transparency, and Accountability (CPTA) was founded in 2011 to promote ethical ideals and transparency in the management of public funds in Nigeria.
The center was created by a concerned professional and activist who recognized the critical need for structural reform to ensure that public funds were used effectively and responsibly. Over the years, the organization has worked tirelessly to foster a culture of accountability, working closely with government agencies, civil society organizations, and international partners to develop and implement strategies aimed at curbing corruption and promoting good governance.
The CPTA aimed to assist in tackling the difficulties of corruption, lack of transparency, and mismanagement of public resources bedeviling the country. The organization swiftly established itself as a key player in pushing for integrity, openness, and accountability in both government and non-governmental organizations.
The CPTA’s management team is composed of seven dedicated members, each bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the organization. The team is led by the Executive Director, who oversees the overall strategic direction and operations of the CPTA. The other key members of the management team include the Director of Finance and Account, Director of Corporate Affairs, Project Manager, Program Officer, Field Officer (Monitoring and Evaluation), and ICT Officer.
We aim to empower citizens, strengthen institutional capacity, and foster partnerships that help to eradicate corruption and establish a culture of honesty and good governance.
